Douglas Dare's 'Heavenly Bodies' (Live)

Douglas Dare's 'Heavenly Bodies' (Live)

Wednesday 9 Dec 2020, 19:00

A first for The Castle Cinema, this night will not only include a short screening but a live musical performance.

At the beginning of September, London singer/songwriter Douglas Dare came together with a string quartet from the London Contemporary Orchestra to record a live music video performance. Filmed in the beautiful St John of Jerusalem Church, Hackney, the reinterpretation of Dare's latest single 'Heavenly Bodies' was directed by award winning short film director Simon Lane and is a continuous shot, processed on glorious Kodak Super 16mm film. Following the music video screening, Douglas will perform an acoustic set, right there in Screen 1, playing songs from his acclaimed album 'Milkteeth' which was released on the Erased Tapes label in February this year. This will be Douglas's first in-real-life performance since the release of his record and will be COVID secure.

Video and Live Performance Running Time: 60 mins
